We are back to school and I am loving it! I am new to blogging, but I definitely have a lot to share. I just started the 2012-2013 school year as a 2nd Grade Teacher. Last year, I taught 1st Grade, so I have many familiar faces in my class. I moved into my new classroom a few weeks ago. The room was empty, so I got to work with a blank slate. I am still making a few changes as needed to see what works best with the new kiddos.
EXCITING NEWS ALERT! Over the summer, I applied for a technology classroom- which consists of a brand new wrap-around projector and a CLASS SET OF iPads!! I was selected as one of ten teachers in the district to receive this award. The kids went bonkers when I told them about it. I am excited, anxious, nervous, overwhelmed, and so happy to be selected to pilot this new way of learning. I have a lot to learn and I know it is going to be a lot of work, but I am ready for it.
I will be posting pictures soon of my new classroom. I am excited to start this blogging journey to share my experiences and reflect on my teaching.
